Jen received her undergraduate teaching degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Language Arts and Reading from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in 1998 and went on to earn her master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from St. Mary’s University in 2004. She has been teaching elementary students for 25 years in both single grade and multiage classrooms at Discovery and Hanover elementary schools.
Her favorite aspects of teaching are motivating students to reach their God-given potential, encouraging the love of reading and writing, and fostering the desire to learn new things.
In her spare time, Jen enjoys walking, reading, and spending time with her family and black lab, Jax. She feels blessed to be part of the Impact teaching team and to serve in a Christ-centered school focused on pointing students to Jesus.
“How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?”
